The Discovery:
A Glimpse into the Past
While renovation crews were working in the dark, damp basement of the Old Administration Building (OAB) at Fresno City College to repair a significant mess left by a broken water main, they stumbled upon something extraordinary. Tucked behind a crumbling section of original brickwork was a weathered, heavy wooden chest bound in iron. This mysterious artifact, appearing as though it had been forgotten for a century, was immediately turned over to the college’s Faculty Senate.
The crafty faculty of Fresno City College, in a particularly challenging mood, decided that such a find should be shared with the student body. If – and only if - they could prove their mettle. There were many meetings with an endless multitude of committees formed to design a gauntlet of five "Cyber Challenge Chambers" that must be breached to earn the right to unlock the final treasure chest.
